With these words, and many others that are similar, Bahá’u’lláh the Prophet-Founder and spiritual center of the Bahá’í Faith made meditation the essential and obligatory action necessary for those who tread the path of spiritual enlightenment and seek understanding of the mysteries of the spiritual realms.

A Fresh Look at the Essence of Meditation
Bless you! I’ve been trying eastern meditation for almost two years, trying to draw closer to Bahá’u’lláh. But it feels as if I’m missing the mark. Your format of a quote, then commentary, is very helpful. Directing our mirror to the divine, by pondering the Sacred Text is truly the source of all learning. I’ve read the books you quote from, as I read a textbook, trying to understand. Now I’m trying to combine eastern meditation with pondering Sacred Text, more frequently throughout the day. It’s a simple thing, but everything in our world continually distracts us from it.
